WHO AM I?
Those who know me know that this is not my first trip with a backpack. The SNP solo route and the Spanish Pyrenees are proof of that. Scouting, which I attended since I was a child, has a lot to do with my adventures, where I fell in love with being in the wild. Getting to know the country with a backpack on my back gave me the possibility of spiritual growth and getting to know the otherness of different regions. At the same time, it gives a person the opportunity to experience the simplicity of being and experience an adventure together with God.
FROM WHERE, WHERE AND HOW MUCH?
I always waited for the right moment to finish my studies, until I had enough time, until I had enough money. I understood that something is always waiting. However, I have to stop procrastinating because IT'S TIME!! I have long months of preparations, visas, insurance, and equipment behind me, but it was worth it. However, it was not only me who was preparing, but also my family, which is certainly having a hard time. However, the preparation also took place on the psychological side, which in my case takes place in prayer.
The route leads from wild Mongolia to Europe by walk. I'm traveling solo and I'll walk wherever I can. The estimated length of the route is 16,000 km and more. In the event of an unfavorable political situation in any of the countries I plan to pass through, I have alternative routes that will lead me on a safe path. The estimated time spent on the road is around 2 years. However, it can be more or less. On the way, I want to go in the mountains as much as possible and to avoid asphalt roads as much as possible, but of course I will definitely meet those asphalt roads there. Asia does not have such an extensive tourist network, therefore the route itself will be created directly on the track. I always check a few days in advance what section is waiting for me, whether it's to refill water or food.
My home will be a tent for these two years, in the event that someone invites me to their home and I recognize that person as trustworthy, I will certainly not resist. A few times a year, I will hopefully be able to afford a cheap hotel.
I am equipped with basic information about each country, from where it is and is not possible to cross the border to where a visa is or is not needed, depending on the case, and how long I can stay in that country.
WHAT MAKES MY JOURNEY UNIQUE?
The fact that I am going alone from Mongolia to Europe on foot makes this journey unique. I am the first Slovak woman to embark on a solo journey of 16,000 km or more. This trip has been my dream for many years. At the end of the journey, a unique film will be created, full of breathtaking images of wild and unbridled nature with a dash of humor and adventure captured on camera.
AREN'T YOU AFRAID OF ANIMALS?
Snow leopards, scorpions, camels, horses, bears, wolves, foxes, annoying mosquitoes and ticks, or even the legendary Olgoj Chorchoi, about whom there is a legend, as a gigantic worm, wandering in the Gobi desert, but also in other parts of Asia, all this I can and I don't have to meet. Personally, I have great respect for this road and also for animals, that is, except for mosquitoes and ticks :). However, from personal experience, I see a greater risk for people and not for animals.
WHY AM I GOING ALONE, YOU ASK?
Because I'm probably a wild soul, it's also a spiritual pilgrimage for me. A person alone gets into interesting situations and into communication with local residents much earlier than when he goes in a group. As a result, he will experience the given culture, customs, but also the nature of the people in the given country much faster and more intensively.
