We are a group of multimedia students at the University of Economics, and we are working on a short feature film. Please support us so that we can successfully complete our studies and get our film on the Lucerna screen! (And also have something to eat)

About the film

Vincent isn't feeling well. His head is spinning, the streets of Prague seem to be getting narrower by the minute, and he hears strange sounds. It's as if his world is changing beneath his feet. It seems like his very existence is collapsing. What on earth is happening to him?

Our film deals with the challenges young people face today and responds to the rapidly changing world around us.

We are making a short film that, despite its length, carries a significant message. We aim to spark discussions about social issues that have not been as pressing in today's society. In our film, Vincent's reality dissolves, and we invite you on a journey into the dark depths of his soul.

"Breaking Point" Team

Sofia is our director who selected the script. Thanks to her delicate adjustments to the original script, the true "Breaking Point" is born. She has her vision and leads us towards the goal, whether we like it or not.

Anna is the sound director who chose her profession as a calling. She has a unique connection with music that has been with her since childhood when she first played the piano. When watching the film, you will dive into her world of sounds and sensations.

Yana is our editor, responsible for putting together all our skills and pieces into the final film. During editing and color correction, she will showcase her taste and all her abilities – they will help her overcome this challenge.

Artyom is the cameraman with true passion. He sees our film as an opportunity to advance in the field of cinematography and imprint his unique vision. He selected the best camera for the film to handle every complex scene.

 

Where Are We in the Film Production Process?

We already have a completed script and a storyboard showing the shots in the film. We have also secured all the locations and props. What remains are costumes and actors, which we are trying to attract from the art school for compensation. There is still a lot of work and expenses ahead of us.

 

Why Are We on Startovač?

Even though we are doing our best to secure all the necessary resources for successful shooting, we need your help and support. Only with your contributions can we bring our film to perfection, and hopefully get a good grade as well.

 

Thanks to your contributions, we will be able to ensure:

• Locations – Renting suitable places for shooting, such as apartments or automobiles.

• Actors – We are looking for talented actors among students and professionals for the film. Vincent's role, in particular, is very demanding.

• Equipment – Do you know everything that is needed for filming a movie? It's quite a list! Not only a camera but also lights, stabilizers, lenses, microphones, recorders, and more.

• Catering – During long twelve-hour shoots, it will be necessary to provide food for the actors and crew.

• Props and costumes – Believable scenes require authentic props and costumes.

Allow us to make a film that will appeal not only to the audience but also to our teachers. Without you, we simply can't do it.
